My coaching client (we’ll call her S) recently took two full weeks off and still brought in $11k that month.
I asked S, “Have you had success with booking an intensive and/or bringing on a new client at a higher fee since starting the program?”
And here’s what she had to say just 8 weeks into the program…
“YES. Oh my GOODNESS YES!!! I have booked two intensives, TONS of new weekly clients at my higher rate, and continue to feel the shift toward an even more premium rate. My income has nearly doubled. I recently decided to take off 2 FULL WEEKS and I am still hitting a 11-12k month (which is what a GREAT month would look like previous to raising my rates/starting Amanda’s program). That’s insane to me.”
Before S started the Therapy Intensive Academy, an $11k month would have been extremely BUSY, with back-to-back sessions and little time to rest.
Getting to the point where she could actually leave her laptop SHUT for 2 weeks while she enjoyed spending time with friends and family was a breath of fresh air. 😮💨
Here are the exact shifts S made to be able to take 2 weeks off, make the same amount of money, and still be there for her clients:
✅ She implemented therapy intensives.
S saw how offering therapy intensives could help her see fewer weekly clients, make more money, and give herself time to recharge without sacrificing financial stability.
By booking two intensives in one month alone, she was able to hit her income goals and take a well-deserved break.
✅ She started booking clients at a higher rate.
S definitely felt nervous about raising her fees at first. But through working on her mindset, leaning on the support of other therapists in the group, and implementing my guidance, she gained the confidence to charge based on her expertise.
TONS of new weekly clients happily began booking at a premium rate, and her income has nearly doubled.
S has started developing a plan to continue to grow her practice.
✅ She embraced mindset work.
S’s work wasn’t just about business-related changes.
It was about breaking through old beliefs about money and worth.
Before, S would have felt guilty about taking time off and like an imposter about raising her rates. But, by addressing her imposter syndrome and reframing her relationship with money, she’s stepped into a new way of running her practice (AND being a present mother).
When I asked her to reflect on how the Therapy Intensives Academy has contributed to her business growth and personal development, here’s what she said:
“Seeing others with similar backgrounds, licensure, trainings, certifications as I have doing the things I want to be doing (like charging a higher rate, seeing less weekly clients, scheduling intensives, etc.) has given me SUCH motivation and courage to do the same in my own business.”
