Welcome, I'm Amanda
I'm excited you're here.
Welcome to my blog where you'll get all things business education and tips & tricks for your private practice business to reference during difficult times, stressful workdays, and moments when manifesting your true self.
Labor Day is supposed to be about paying tribute to those who fought for the rights of working people…
…and yet, helpers all over North America struggle with wildly high rates of burn out that has people fleeing the field faster than we ran after the ice cream truck when we were kids (okay, maybe we still do because yum).
When Client N joined the Intensive Growth Blueprint for Therapists, they were on the verge of quitting the therapy field.
They were burnt out. So burnt out they questioned if they even wanted to be a therapist anymore.
Maybe you’ve been there. Maybe you’re there now.
Feeling like you’ve worked so hard to get to where you are but knowing what you’re currently doing isn’t sustainable.
You didn’t choose to subscribe to Human Giver Syndrome – you know, when you put all your needs aside to serve your clients?
But somehow you’ve been spending 50+ hours a week in front of your laptop, you missed the last 4 Sunday brunches with your besties to catch up on paperwork, and you keep ignoring the little voice inside of you that’s telling you “something isn’t right…”
Here’s the thing… that little voice is telling you something important:
Being a therapist doesn’t have to feel this way.
Here are the exact shifts Client N made to be able to work half the hours, make the same amount of money, and love their job again:
1 – They said goodbye to insurance panels.
Client N was on 3 different insurance panels and the paperwork and billing became a LOT.
They started by getting rid of the lowest payer first and then every few months got rid of another.
They’re on track to be completely off all insurance panels this fall.
2 – They worked on their mindset.
Client N needed to navigate their imposter syndrome, unpack limiting beliefs around money, and build their confidence.
When charging higher fees for private pay clients felt scary, they started with a lower fee and slowly worked their way up to a higher fee they now feel SUPER confident in – and happy about!
This is how Client N made their Return on Investment inside IGB in just 2 months.
3 – They implemented therapy intensives.
Intensives are what helped Client N work half the time and make the same amount of money.
They were way less burnt out, felt more financially secure, and were able to better support their clients by doing better clinical work.
This opened up space in their calendar and caseload, and they were able to sign 10 new private pay clients!
… pretty cool, right?!
Listen, I get that making huge shifts in your therapy practice is scary AF!
But, it’s also something you are 100% capable of doing (and no, it doesn’t have to look exactly like what Client N did).
These are the types of results that clients see inside IGB over and over.
